'Hi MM Experts, Recently one of the PO approvesr went on leave. He has delegate this authority to one of his staff. Instead of using the substitution function, we just replace the original approval code with his staff approval code in the release strategy. Now, all POs, including those approved before we change the release code, show the new approver's name. Since the workflow and business object are customized, can anyone clarify whether this is standard SAP behavior if we change a release code in the release strategy. Thanks and regards, Lai'.

Nov 21, 2013 Recently bought a rMBP and I'm unable to get my old IBM Model M keyboard working with it. I have a more recent Dell USB keyboard that works fine, but the IBM keyboard is not recognized. I should note that the IBM keyboard is PS2 (purple connector), and I'm using a PS2 to USB converter. This works fine on my Windows machine.

If legitimate problems are reported on the 6.1.5.X releases, IBM will resolve those issues only in the 6.1.6 product release. Oct 23, 2018 - During his keynote speech today at the Jamf User Nation Conference in Minneapolis, IBM CIO Fletcher Previn announced that IBM is going to. All code (including Machine Code updates, samples, fixes or other software downloads) provided on the Fix Central website is subject to the terms of the applicable license agreements. Hi Mukesh, Unfortunately, I do not support your suggestion of creating a new release strategy or add a new code for the new approver. The reasons were simple - 1) People are always relocating themselves into different departments. Download evernote desktop app. Therefore, you can't simply change your release procedure to cater for this regular change. 2) Secondly, what are you going to deal with existing ones? Are you going to delete it? If yes, then how are you going to deal with outstanding purchasing documents?
3) Lastly, everytime, the new release strategy is changed, you will have to take care of outstanding purchasing documents to make sure no negative impact onto release strategy will take place.

The licensing wizard indicated I did not have administrative rights, which I know I do. I tried the solution suggested in this forum in the link - and this allowed me to run the LAW successfully (at least it indicated it was successful - first screenshot), but my SPSS version still was not licensed. I followed the steps in this link as well - but that did not allow me to run the LAW - the same administrator rights error message popped up - (third screenshot). I have attached some screenshots if that is helpful.
Allen Cornelius 1: /answers/storage/temp/23888-screen-shot-2018-08-28-at-85643-am.png. Yes, the LSERVRC on bin file looks good and the splash screen is the normal one you would get when the software is not licensed yet.
It is new to me that on your system is also SPSS 23 and 24 Installed? So this is not a 'fresh' Mac OSX 10.13.6 I believe?
![]()
Maybe you upgraded an existing older MAC OSX to the new version, which is done often, of course. But maybe the SPSS releases 23 and 24 were not removed before you upgraded the OSX? Maybe this caused the problem as neiter SPSS 23 nor 24 are supported on High Sierra 10.13 as there have been a lot of Jave changed on Apple OSX High Sierra.
Maybe it is really the best to also remove 23, 24 and 25 completely and start again. Sorry for the inconvenience you have. Once again I removed the license code for auth code (d216c.etc) from your lock code 10-43289 as otherwise you cannot re-use it properly after cleaning up. Bettina, Good news.
I now have a working copy of SPSS that is licensed! The IT folks at my school put in a ticket to IBM support, and they came up with something that somehow eventually worked. The two steps that seem to fix things were to first change the echoed to 0x04 using sudo. This provided a new lock code. Then creating a brand new license file, then running cd /Applications/IBM/SPSS/Statistics/;sudo chown -R root:admin 25;killall Terminal, which I think addressed some permissions issues. I did all this from the root user, but SPSS seems to work on my regular user account.
I am so appreciative of all the efforts by you to assist me troubleshot this matter. It was great to not feel out on an island trying to address this and have someone with expertise supporting me along the way. All the best, and while it has been great working with you, I hope to not have to contact you again.:) Allen. The warning message 'You do not have the correct administrator privileges' when attempting to license a SPSS Statistics product on Mac OS is indeed caused by insufficient privileges and can normally be solved with the steps on below technote: As you say this did not work on your Mac we need the 20 digit authorization code you used for licensingd AND the lock code of your Mac, then we can create a license code manually. The lock code is displayed on step 2 of SPSS 25 license authorization wizard if you launch it. To check your code please post your 20 digit authorization code and the lock code into the private reply I already send to you on this webpage. Please include @ sign followed by my display name on your answer, then I will get a notification.
Private posts can only be viewed by you and the IBM moderators. Also, you need to be logged on to DWAnswers to see them. Sometimes a browser cache deletion or the use of a different browser is necessary to have private notes displayed. Thanks Bettina.
Thank you for the authorization code in the private reply and your lock code 10-43289 I created the license code for you manually, see below. This license code will only work on the machine with lock code 10-43289 Either launch SPSS 25 license authorization wizard now again and use below license code INSTEAD of the authorization code (either the full row or the abbreviated row). OR if this still does not work you need to open Finder, go to Applications/IBM/SPSS/25 folder as well and right click on SPSSStatistics.app Select 'Show package content', then select Contents, then BIN folder. When in BIN folder locate the license file LSERVRC. This can be opened in textedit.app. Delete the current content in file LSERVRC and put the full license code as one row into this file.
Save file with same name LSERVRC, you must be careful on Mac so that this is NOT a text file after that (no file extension) you need then to REBOOT your Mac After reboot try to launch SPSS 25 and let me know how it goes regards Bettina Full row license code: 2MNQZ2AOB32YGFWG34B3DP2SB578XRQKGI5Z5GGEIHV6YCCXYAC8ISKAQQVUP22W4AQK4VZ66JBMHI3Q6GF5P8RU4YK9IS45Z77# '1200' version '250', expires Midnight of Jul 31, 2019, exclusive Abbreviated row license code: 2MNQZ2AOB32YGFWG34B3DP2SB578XRQKGI5Z5GGEIHV6YCCXYAC8ISKAQQVUP22W4AQK4VZ66JBMHI3Q6GF5P8RU4YK9IS45Z77. Bettina, Thanks for the manually derived license code, but I have encountered another hurdle. When I tried to paste the new full license code into the LSERVRC file, I got an error that I am not the owner of that file and do not have permission to write to it. I could duplicate it, but I figured I would not mess with things and continue to ask your advice before I possibly messed things up further. I attached a screenshot if that is helpful.
Ibm Mac Support
Further information - when I opened the LSERVRC, there were entries similar to the license code you sent, looked identical to each other, and both said they expired on July 31, 2019. Thanks for your ongoing support. Allen 1: /answers/storage/temp/23929-no-permission-on-lservrc.png.
OK, there is obviously a permission issue for your account on this Mac. I really suggest now you uninstall SPSS 25 from your account on High Sierra, then, enable the root user account on your Mac, Install and license SPSS 25 as root user, reboot the Mac, After reboot the Mac log again as root user, launch SPSS 25 as root user to see if it launches. If yes, close SPSS 25, log in as your normal user account, launch SPSS 25 and see if it launch then. If yes, you can then disable the root user account and normally work on your user account.
How to enable the root user on Mac is described in this Apple technote: There is also a technote for SPSS describing on how to completely remove SPSS from Mac via a script but it is a bit tricky and can only be done with Terminal commands Script to completely remove (uninstall) SPSS Statistics (Mac OS X) If this is too complicated then you can first try it with trashing SPSS, empty the trash and install as root user described above. By the way: I resetted again your authorization code (the one that begins with d216xxxxxxxxxxxxx) so when you license as root use this 20 digit authorization code for licensing. Hope this will work regards Bettina. Bettina, I have some more challenges for you.
I followed your suggestions, and came up with new hurdles. Here is what I did and what happened:. I deleted SPSS 25 by dragging it to the trash, emptying the trash, and rebooting. I enabled the root user and logged in as root user. I ran the licensing wizard, and got a message that 'SPSS Licensing Wizard is not optimized for your Mac', but I was able to run the program. The program reported 'Authorization succeeded' and 'Successfully processed all codes'. At least no permission errors.Yay!.
The next screen indicated 'You have successfully licensed your product' and will be effective the next time SPSS is started. However, it also indicated in the box below the 'No licenses were found for IBM SPSS Statistics 25'. I thought maybe this was normal until SPSS was launched the first time.
I clicked 'Finish' and launched SPSS. SPSS launched and I got a splash screen that said 'Already purchased IBM SPSS Statistics License?' With a button to License product, which when pressed, launched LAW again. Hope was dashed. For fun I repeated this cycle. Nothing different happened.
I checked the BIN folder to snoop the license file LSERVRC, and it had three licenses listed - all the same number, so it must have been written to each time I ran the wizard. But SPSS doesn't seem to be able to read that. I also checked my privileges for the LSERVRC, and I have admin rights, but only read rights. I figured that should be enough for SPSS to 'read' the license file, but obviously something else is amiss. When I log back into my usual user account and launch SPSS ( I am a glutton for punishment), I do not get the splash screen, but get an error that I do not have a license. I have screenshots of the steps I took, but I was not sure if the information would be appropriate for a public forum.
I will probably try the more extensive removal of SPSS via the script you mentioned, and try all this again, but may not get to that until tomorrow. I can only take so much of this at one time. Again, thank you for your guidance. Your directions are very clear and I appreciate your efforts. Betinna, Here are the results of a few more attempts. I tried a few more times to install SPSS after removing it by dragging to the trash, emptying trash and rebooting. Using the root account, I did not encounter any permission errors, but SPSS still does not seem to 'find' the license.
Neither does the LAW for that matter, as even after displaying 'success', it states there are no licenses, and displays the path of the contents/bin folder where LSERVRC is housed. I tried it all again, and this time I checked before running the license wizard, and there was no LSERVRC file. After running LAW and before launching SPSS, I checked and there was a LSERVRC file, with a license code authorized. When launching SPSS it asks if I have a license. I even tried not running the LAW first, and going to straight to SPSS and responding to its inquiry about licensing, and then using the LAW, but the same results. I was going to run the script for removing any residual SPSS files, but the instruction say something to the effect of 'use the default nano editor', and I do not have a nano editor, so I did not pursue that option. I am learning a lot about SPSS licensing inner workings, but I sure wish that my learning of that would end soon with some success.
Sorry but it always worked to install and license as root. I never seen a message 'SPSS Licensing Wizard is not optimized for your Mac', before and have no idea why you get this. What Java version is installed on this Mac? On which update level is this mac 10.13? Is this Mac High Sierra the official GA release from Apple and no beta release of this OSX? Was this macOSX the only one ever on this computer or have you upgraded the mac from an older OSX to the new one? Nano is a command on Mac that opens the script file in the nano text editor, so you can add your own userID there.
Betinna, Here is the result of a few more attempts. I used the script to more thoroughly remove any residual SPSS files, both from my user account and from the root account - I didn't know if that would make any difference. I rebooted and then tried to install SPSS once again. The same result - SPSS installs, LAW launches, appears to work, and at the last stage it indicates success, but no licenses found. I included a screenshot of that message. I checked the LSERVRC file and it has a license listed, supposedly valid through July 31, 2019. I guess we need more ideas.
I hope you have some. At least the permission issue has gone away! Allen 1: /answers/storage/temp/23986-success-messagertfd.zip. No sorry, none of us have more ideas. I created a new license code. I cannot view the text in your zip file, only the screenshot. If this is your authorization code: d216ccxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxetc and this is your lock code: 10-43289 Then this is your license code now: NGL74VBAB9HW9GQAL2Q68M9UEKL94JMAOXCHNNKAZFMLWA6DQD87RVJP3JAF9VF9I5DM725IHKPQMQCZNH9IQ9QTGS6OGQ5F3RB# '1200' version '250', expires Midnight of Jul 31, 2019, exclusive Please delete LSERVRC file from BIN folder below Contents folder on Show package content for SPSSStatistics.app below /Applications/IBM/SPSS/25 Instead use attached LSERVRC and put it to BIN folder.
As I cannot upload this file here i had to zip it. You need to unpack it first and then put the new LSERVRC from zip file to BIN folder. After that reboot the Mac again. If this does not work we have no other ideas.
Bettina, Thanks for the license file. Unfortunately, it behaves just as the one I create through the LAW - SPSS doesn't seem to see it. Is it certain this is a code for ver.
I have seen error similar error messages reported that seem to indicate license does not match the version. I am going to create a document the describes all the steps I take, including screen shots and information about permissions, so hopefully you or someone can see if there is something I am missing. I'd really like this to be fixed, as I bought this new MacBook as my old one was slowing down, and I teach SPSS to graduate students, so I need it to work. Thanks again for your continued help. Sure the code is for release 25 and your lock code 10-43289. Is this still your lock code?
Has it changed now somehow? Then all those codes cannot work.
You can see the license code i created is for 25 from this portion: '1200' version '250', expires Midnight of Jul 31, 2019, exclusive Is the installer you use SPSSStatistics25mac.dmg? As I said we do not have any other ideas, also not another colleague.
The only thing we can try is to install SPSS 25 FixPack 1, as sometimes a fixpack install 'repairs' an installation. Can you please go to IBM Fixcentral and download 25 FP1 for Mac OR as installed version use 25.0.0.0 and platform MacOSX from dropdowns You should download below: fix pack: 25.0-IM-S25STATC-Mac-FP001 IBM SPSS Statistics Client 25.0 Mac Fix Pack 1 For download you need to register once for an IBM ID. Bettina, Thanks for the information on the correct version number. I wondered what those numbers were. I downloaded and installed the patch, but the licensing issue persists. I am attaching screenshots of the splash screen I get, and the bin where the license file you sent is located.
Sure looks like everything should work. My next effort will be a full deletion of all my SPSS versions (I have folders for 23, 24, and 25), a complete clean with the script you linked me too, a clean install, and a confirmation of permissions throughout. I plan to take screenshots as I go, and I'll send you that document to see if there are any hidden clues to what is going on. This will take a few days. Thanks once again for all your efforts to get this resolved. Allen 1: /answers/storage/temp/24042-spss-splash-screen.png.
